I have admired dolls for a long time..I have never tried to make one though..
until last weekend.
I tried the pattern Free Prairie Doll from The olde country cupboard
It was very simple...and I loved how she turned out. The only part is I didn't include the little doll the pattern comes with, but I will next time. This doll has no face which is a bonus for me..I don't do faces.
Her name is Hannah..I made her red apple dress from my son's girlfriend Hannahs old dress she gave me.
AGAIN..I love when people give me their old wares. :)
Here she is sitting on my shelf by my sheep. :)
I made a prim tag for her arm.
Thank You Sandy for making wonderful patterns! I think I am going to make a few for my fall show.
Very nice! There is nothing like the feeling of accomplishment when you make your first doll.

What a sweet doll. I like her as well without a face. You'd never know it was your first to make!
ReplyDeleteHannah is so cute! You did a great job. I wish I could make stuff.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day,

It would’ve been nice if your doll had a face but she still looks pretty just the same. You did impressive work with the dress! Even more so because it was recycled.
